Carlton Ware Egg Frame Cruet Australian Apple Blossom Design in Yellow This is a very collectable Egg Frame Cruet produced by Carlton Ware, the famous pottery from Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, England. It is in the yellow colourway of their Embossed Australian Apple Blossom Design . Apple Blossom was the most popular design of Carlton Ware's floral embossed version of the salad ware range. Each piece is beautifully modelled and decorated. This pattern was introduced by Carlton Ware in 1937 in two colourways - green and the more unusual yellow, the shape number is 1701. Complete with four egg cups (4cm tall), salt and pepper (4.5 cm tall), this item is a lovely example of the Australian Apple Blossom design. The flowers are hand painted in a deep pink, the stamens in yellow and the leaves in green. The branch is painted in a brown and the grip of the Frame is a realistic looking branch.Full Carlton Ware script mark to base as follows.
