For sale is a wonderful Carlton Ware vase. It is one of their "Engine Turned" pieces which were produced as a tribute to Keith Murray who was a designer for Wedgwood in the 1930s & 40s and who is said to be one of the most influential designers of the Art Deco style. This vase is colour number 3977 which is gloss pink and is 25.9cms (10") high. The delicate pink colour is graduated and is darker near the base fading to a very pale pink near the top. I think if you didn't know this vase was over 50 years old it could be mistaken for being very modern. The vase is in good condition with no chips or cracks. There is some crazing on it and a couple of tiny black marks which are under the glaze. The vase weighs over 2 kilos (just less than 4 1/2lbs) and is 25.9cms (10") high and 16cms (6 1/4") at the widest part. Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions you have
