For auction is a Carlton Ware Guinness tea pot with the backstamp showing the Carlton Ware, Arthur Guinness & James Blackmore names. This has no damage or glaze crazing but In the interest of total clarity, I must point out that it is a previously used item &, as such, does have signs of age-related wear on very close inspection. Whilst the body has areas of surface scratching, the gold transfer is in good condition apart from one scratch which is on the letter "U". The lid however, is a replacement lid from the Carlton Ware Kit Kat tea pot - which is identical in size & shape to the Guinness one. On advice, I had it professionally restored to Guinness black only to find that it ought to have been in a cream colour! However, the lid does match the pot & the colour could be remedied.
