Carnival Glass Northwood glass co. 1911 "Oriental Poppy" Water Tankard/ Pitcher Purple No reproductions Original! Very Scarce to Find! Measures:about 13 1/2 inches tall, base is about 5 3/4 inches across. This Magnificent Tankard has an detailed opened poppy flower with leaves and stems. The pattern is called"Oriental Poppy" made by Northwood glass co., Northwood put the detailed pattern on the Water Tankard-style pitcher to show off the design. Very Gorgeous ! I am selling this Tankard Pitcher in the Oriental Poppy pattern,the handle is applied, the base color is Purple( like grape juice) the iridescence colors are close to being Electric with the colors of puprle, blue, teal, pink, violet, greenish and gold.The iridescence is loacted on the exterior and upper interior. T is no logo, most of the earlier Northwood did not have the logo, truly antique! Due to the year of make the Tankard does have mold seams, lots of tiny bubbles and lite strawlines. This is considered factory flaws not damage. Check out this link about Northwood Oriental Poppy /orientalpoppy.html As Far as I can see the Pitcher is in Near Excellent condition for the age! It does have a faint hairline crack inside the lower pitcher, does not show on the exterior( see photos). T is also a short hairline crack on the handle left side with a hidden small flake(see photo) one fleabite on the back side top rim. They are all hard to notice or see. Natural wear on the bottom base. Remember it is Antique! Very Magnificent! If you have any questions please ask! thank you for looking!
