LARGE AMETHYST CARNIVAL GLASS VASE Rustic with Hobnail PatternAuthentic Amethyst Carnival Vase by Fenton. As I understand it, this is a pretty Rare size...midsize range at 16.5 inches. The diameter of the base of the vase is 4.25 inches. This vase is prominently displayed in the 7th edition of Carnival Glass by Bill Edwards and Mike Carwile. The value for this size vase according to the catalog on page 477 is $1500.00 The exact vase is pictured on page 307 of the catalog. Beautiful irredescence and ddep amethyst colors. The glass is in excellent condition and t are no chips cracks or hairlines whatsoever. This is an excellent example of fine carnival glass. This art glass came out of my Aunt's estate on Nantucket. My Aunt was a nurse in WW1 stationed in France and then spent years as an artist and antiquarian traveling the world. She loved antiques and taking care of them. Please view my other items as we are selling her home belongings over the coming year and she has some exquisite pieces. I hope this goes to a nice home that loves antiques as much as she did.
