CARR CHINA GRAFTON W Va TYGART DAM PLATE This listing is for a Tygart River Reservoir Dam (Grafton, W. VA) comemerative plate made by Carr China. The Dam was located about a mile up the river from the Carr China Location. The plate has a ivory body, with a Blue Transfer Pattern of the Dam. The p late measures 8 1/4" in diameter.The Back of the plate is marked: Frederick Snare Corp. Contracting Engineers New York. Tygart River Reservoir Dam. Grafton, W. VA. Estimated Cost $12,000,000. Length 1850 Ft. Height 232 Ft. Reservoir Area 4,000 Acres. Cubic Yd's Concrete 11,000,000. Steel Pounds 5,400,000. CARR CHINA CO. GRAFTON, W. VA. Corps of Engineers U.S. Army The plate is in excellent condition, no chips, no cracks, and no crazing. T is one small speck on the bottom edge, and some light scratches on the surface.
