Cartier: Butane Cigarette Lighter - Laquer and Gold Please read shipping limitations(down the page...) before bidding Shipping is by USPS Priority Mail Only Insurance Optional but Recommended Authentic Cartier Butane Cigarette Lighter Your bid is invited on authentic, classic Cartier "five-sided" lighter: Description: This beautiful lighter is classic Cartier! The body and working parts are gold-tone, with marbeled orange lacquer or enamel panels. It's rather heavy for its size at 2.7 oz. It stands 2-1/4 inches (60mm) tall. The Cartier signature appears in gold on one front panel. When the lid is lifted, the sparking wheel moves into striking position. This lighter is either gold-plate or gold-filled but t are no marks to indicate the metal content. On the bottom, The Cartier signature appears, with the number "87220 N", and Swiss Made. Condition: This lighter has been lightly used, with some very minor surface scratches on the gold and lacquer/enamel panels. These are visible only with magnification, and shouldn't be considered flaws. T are no signs of chipping, scratching, crazing other than noted. I opened this lighter for inspection and additional Cartier tags appear on the butane tank inside. The hinge is firm, and the lid meets the body perfectly. The lever action that moves the striker into position operates as expected. The lighter has no flint, and is dry of butane. The photos were shot against a neutral (photo-gray) background to improve color accuracy, and provide a color reference. The colors quite accurate. I base postage on the official US Postal Service rates and add only $1.50 ($3.00 for overseas and Canada) to cover packaging expense. I pack every item carefully with new or recycled packaging material and the added S/H doesn't always cover the actual cost. Computer paper, tape, bubble-wrap, zip-lock bags, sticky-back postage labels and other supplies drive up the costs...and then t are fees assessed by eBay and PayPal. Foreign orders are assessed an 'exchange fee' by PayPal. Believe me: $1.50 (or $3.00 for "Foreign") added for S/H isn't a winning proposition! (2.) Whenever possible, I use USPS-supplied packing material...but that requires PRIORITY MAIL. If your purchase requires a HARD BOX to prevent shipping damage, ...that's the only way I'll do it. Staples and Office Depot sell similar boxes for an outrageous price, and I don't buy their boxes, just to be able to ship to you by USPS First Class. If I did so, the costs (to ship 1st Class) would be higher (than Priority Mail)! (3.)
