This high end lighter was a gift years ago to my husband (who does not smoke). Therefore, this vintage Cartier has never been used by us, but I do believe that it was used before we received it. I tried it, and it still sparks well; although I imagine the fluid will need to be replaced after so many years. I will leave that to the new owner.It is my opinion that this is sterling, due to the patina: however, the signature either reads "PL ARGENTS G" or "PLARGENTG". The spacing might possibly indicate platinum plating? I do not know. I have not attempted to clean it because I did not want to submerge it in cleaning fluid. I will leave that to the new owner, also.It would make a lovely Holiday gift.I ship quickly once payment is received. Our home is free of pet and smoke. Posted with the eBay Android app
