Hello. For those of you who do not know me, my name is Heidi, the daughter of Kit Killingbeck. It has been quite a while since I carved bakelite, so I decided to carve a scottie dog with wings. He is really cute! I laminated him onto a nice fluffy cloud. He looks like he is flying. I carved him a nice set of wings, and gave him a tiny sparkly immitation eye. This scottie dog is black. His wings are a creamy white, and the cloud is a pretty baby blue color. I used all vintage bakelite materials to make him. This is a dainty little pin. It measures1 & 1/2" wide, and is 1 & 3/8" tall. I have carved my name, and date in the back of this pin. My mom is still teaching me the fine art of carving bakelite, so I will be listing my bakelite carvings from time to time. Thank you, Heidi Killingbeck.
