Offered is an eighteen inch short sword with a twelve inch blade and a very ornate carved hilt handle. I believe it to be early 1900s and nice condition for its age. The unmarked straight blade is tight to the hilt and solid. A good example and show piece for a collector of oriental weapons. It maintains both a sharp edge and point, and was not produced as a tourist piece. Good luck with your bidding. I have added an additional 5th photo that shows some damage to the bone hilt quite clearly. I had assumed that the photo was inserted along with the previous photographs, but it had been overlooked. But as you can still see the sword is still a nice piece regardless of the damage and worthwhile bidding on. Thank you for all of your interest shown in this sword. And the already low reserve price has in turn been reduced for all those interested in bidding.
