Preferred Checkout Stock Number: CV1-24B Approximate Weight: 150 lbs. This Wine Cabinet/ Buffet was made in France , circa 1920 . We purchased it in Lyon, France .It is made of Oak. It has a rich, deep Oak Patina. This is a French Renaissance Tudor Wine Cabinet/ Buffet. It is in very good condition. This Buffet/Wine Cabinet retains all of its original hardware.This includes the hinges, Escutcheons, Scrolling Key Plates, Lock, and Skeleton Key. The piece has a beautifully formed Cornice with a Deep Frieze just below. The Frieze has spectacular Foliate Scroll Work Carving The Buffet/Wine Cabinet has Double Doors over Two Drawers. A strong Gothic influence is apparent in the Mask Carvings at the center of the Doors and on the Posts above the Legs. The Masks on the Doors are framed by gorgeous Foliate Scroll Work. The Doors open to reveal an interior fitted with a Shelf. This is perfect for storing your Wine Collection, Liqueur Bottles Stemware, and Glassware. Below are fabulously carved Drawers with pronounced Foliate Scroll Work. The bottom of the Drawers scallop beautifully. The Drawers open to reveal roomy interiors for storing your Bar Utensils and Wine Bottle Opener. The piece stands upon Massive Bulbous Legs with Fluted Top. They have Block and Bun Feet. T piece has Stile Legs at the rear. The gorgeous piece was designed to make a statement in any room in which it is placed. The majestic presence of this Case Piece makes it perfect for placement in a foyer or entranceway. It is also truly functional.
