Hello Bidders !! we have a wonderful Ivory Hand Carved Figurine of three monkeys apparently attacking or playing with a mountain goat. I have never seen such fine detail in a piece of ivory this size !! I bought out a woman's collection - she spent twenty some odd years in the military back in the 50's to sixties era and her hobby was these ivory figurines that she could put in her luggage and hand carry home. I have several figurines , but I am only putting one on at this time to see if t is interest in them. She was explaining to me that you could tell this piece was carved from the end of the tusk because of the shape ( I.E it goes from very narrow by the monkey on the tail end of the goat to much wider to the goats head.) She really had some neat stories to tell. Anyway - this piece measures about 3 1/4"L X 1 1/8"W X 1 1/4"H. The reason I gave a picture of the bottom is to show how the carver carried the detail even to the bottoms of the animals feet !! You have supersize option so blow them up.
