ENGLISH ANTIQUE FURNITURE Stock # 16778 Our aim is to be the lowest price sellers of antique furniture on Ebay We have decided to offer some of our items for sale on ebay. We deal in Antique English and European furniture and will be putting items up for auction. All items we sell are antiques( Over 100 years old) unless otherwise stated. This dining room set is one of a kind! It was made in France in the Brittany area around the turn of the century (1890-1900) . I would imagine it was made for a wealthy family of fisherman. In all t are 8 chairs each chair has a different figure carved in the back t are 4 men and 4 women. I have taken photos of some of the family but since t is only room for 12 photos I had to leave some out. I will be glad to email you the other photos if you are interested. Starting at the top of the chair rail t is a carved rope and anchor, the middle section of the back is w the carving of the family member is. below that at the bottom of the chair rail is more rope carving with a ships wheel. The seats are wicker and I do see slight damage to one of the rush seats. The chair measurements are 43" to the top of the back, 18" from floor to seat. They are 19" wide and 17"deep. The table and chairs are made of oak with the carvings being made of walnut. The table is very unusual !! Starting with a parquetry top. It is a draw leaf table (Both ends pull out ) The length when opened is 9' 6" ,with th leafs in the table is 6' the depth of the table is 41" and the height is 30". The apron is carved with floral motifs and ther is a diamond pattern carved into the length of the aprons. T are also two ship wheels carved on each side of the apron and one ships wheel carved on the end aprons.The legs of this table represent full length carvings of members of the family the man is carrying a basket of fresh caught fish and the lady is carrying a basket of shellfish. The shaped spindle stretcher at the bottom of the legs is also something you seldom see. T is no way I can describe this dining set to you with out forgetting something!!! Rates for a single piece of furniture depending on location will usually be $275.00- $550.00 We do deliveries with our own trucks throughout Florida,Georgia,Alabama, North and South Carolina, Tennessee at very reasonable rates. All items are blanket wrapped and set up in your home. Your item will be fully insured during delivery and carefully handled by our professional full time staff. Deliveries will be arranged after items are paid for. Items will be dispatched within 2-4 weeks. You are welcome to collect the items from our warehouse. Collections from warehouse must have a sales tax number or pay Florida sales tax of 6.5%. Our return policy is very simple. If for some reason you are not satisfied with your purchase you have 7 days to return item for a full refund. You will be responsible for return shipping fees. The items we put up for auction are antiques they will show signs of wear.(scratches,dings,fading,If t ae any serious defects we will point them out.
