You are bidding on an unusual peach pit carving: a large chicken joiuned on a piece of fiber board with a monkey. Chicken is made of 2 peach pits: an additional piece of pit glued on for the tail. Carved pieces of wood are attached for the head, legs. Bits of red hard material glued on for comb and wattle, feet made of toothpicks, red painted eyes. Chicken meas. approx. 2" high by 2.5" long. Monkey in usual sitting position, tail curved toward face, arms, legs forward, red eyes. Both animals are glued onto the board. Monkey meas. approx. 1.5" high by 1" wide. Board meas. 2" by 2". Unique piece of American folkart. Original. Complete. Great patina. Dust included. U.S. shipping $4.00.
