Have you ever noticed all of the multitudes of bakelite in auctions and ever wondered if it is really bakelite or made from some other plastic like GAROLITE or ULTEM or just plain old resin impregnated with formaldehyde and termed as phenolic resin? Well, you will never have to wonder if it is real or not on my listings. I will be completely and utterly honest and up front with you about my items. I won't tell you things like my items have been previously owned and worn, from my personal collection, blah, blah, blah.....they haven't....they came straight off the boat from who knows w and have been recently made. If you haven't seen what a boatload of these bangles look like, a good photo site can be recommended upon request. So, before you spend hundreds of dollars on something that is not true, vintage bakelite, you need to educate yourself. As for my listings, I won't ever use the ~~~~"USER ID KEPT PRIVATE"~~~~ feature. I want you to be able to talk to one of my buyers to ask what your experience was like and if the item was as described. I also will never list my items in the Vintage category under retro, Bakelite/Plastics 1940-1980, which by the way is against the rules if the item isn't truly old. My listings will always be found under NEW REPRODUCTIONS in the Vintage category as these bangles are trying to mimic old bakelite. read more
