Ch'ing Dynasty (ca. 19th cent.);
65" tall, 29" wide, 21" deep An exquisitely carved wash basin stand. Designed to hold a porcelain wash basin within the center base ring. The masterpiece carvings are breathtaking. The intricacy, depth and complexity of the carvings of writhing dragons, animals, trees, people, courts, palaces and mountains are spectacular. I had difficulty photographing this piece because of the great amount of detail and complexity. Simply marvelous! Z/34
