Denny Dixon was born in 1944 in Skidegate, Haida Gwaii (Queen Charlotte Islands into an outstanding family of Haida artists. He is a member of the Eagle clan and works primarily with argillite (such as this fine pendant), carving poles, platters, boxes, pendants and pins. As a self-taught artist, Denny was influenced by the late carver, Pat McGuire..
