These vintage and very unique book ends were made in Spain and do have some age behind them. They were purchased in an Estate Sale and are reportedly 40+ years old. They measure 5 1/2"H, are 5 1/2" long and are 4 1/2" wide. They are made of rough looking wood with a metal trim. The globes are metal and the pointer is also made of metal. The globes are not round as a ball but are flat where they display some continents. Photo 6 shows this. However the globes do turn and can be placed in various ways. They are attached to a decorative piece of wood which is part of the base. They are quite nice and can be used on a desk in your office, library or wherever you choose.
