Hello all . thanks for looking . 5 day auction . i try to get everything shiped on the first couple days of every new week . What i have up for bid is a BANHU . My son looked it up for me . I had no clue w to start . he has seen this instrument befor . so i want to thank my son . Again this is a chinese instrument . it has the long neck . as you can see the top is carved wood . was very well done . it is of a dragon . it is also used to hold the bow . the bottom is a coconut . that is what was used to make this instrument from the start . t is a website . just type in BANHU it tells all about this instrument . this instrument . has a very soft sound ,,, this kind only has 2 strings .On the website it shows how to hold and how to play this instrument . It is on the version of a violin . t are NO broken strings on the BANHU or on the bow . The BANHU is 33 inches long . the piece that holds the strings are both 6 inches long .the coconut is 16 inches around .it has a flat top ... as for the bow ,,, i dont know what kind of string it is . my son says the same thing . it feels plastic in the bunch that it is in . when we get one strain apart . it does not feel plastic . so iam going to stay on the safe side and say iam not sure what kind of string this is . the bow is about 25 inches long . the purple cloth was on the bow when i got it so i felt the need to leave it alone . if you can get a few mins and you want to know more about this instrument check out the website . in one of the pictures they show a man playing one of these coconut bottom instruments . also i see no cracks . you will see in the pictures the coconut has some worn. check out the pictures . and if you need more info email me . payment can be made to paypal ,, check or money order . if paying with a check i have to wait for the check to clear befor i ship , thanks again . i am going to charge 10.dollars for shipping . only becouse iam going to have to get a long box .
