This auction includes the CAS Hanwei Bamboo Mat Katana shown in the photos. Details :I bought this Bamboo Mat Katana recently to use as a spare for the Bamboo Mat I currently use. The trick is the balance on this blade is just a bit different than the one on my current Bamboo Mat. It is not much but it is enough to make me feel the difference. Don't get me wrong here, the Bamboo Mat is one of my all time favorite blades and I am tempted to have this blade remounted in custom fittings. Personally, I think the Bamboo Mat is one of the most underrated production katana available on the market today. It cuts like a demon, resists scratches, holds its shape, looks great, and feels lively. What more can a swordsmen ask for? This blade was purchased second hand from someone that used it for a little iai but never for cutting.
