Hi I'm James Parker and I am offering some fine Case knives for auction. We just acquired a large store stock group of discontinued Case knives still mint in the original boxes, a great find. This knife for auction is a 1 of 100 issue 1989 issue Case Wharncliff Blade 1st Issue Series Dogleg Trapper, 4 3/8" closed. The scales are the Case Yellowbone variety. This knife is tang stamped with Case XX Bradford PA 19 USA 90, dating this as a 1990 issue Case knife. This knife features the actual date stamping that Case used only in a 4 year period of 1990, 1991, 1992, and 1993. Please see the Supersize Photos. The shield style is the enclosed Case oval style which is long discontinued for Case natural handle knives. T were 5 varieties of Genuine Bone handles produced of this pattern in quantities of 100 each. The 5 varieties are as follows: Bluebone, Honeybone, Yellowbone, Redbone, and Greenbone. The Special Factory Order Case Wharncliff Trappers Series was the idea of my father, the late Jim Parker. It was his idea for the Wharncliff rear blades to be used with the Case Mini Trappers, Trappers, Copperheads, and Dogleg Trappers. The knives in this series carry either the 1989 or 1990 Clip blade tang stamp dating. Be watching my upcoming auctions for more of these patterns in this great series for auction. This Wharncliff Trapper Series knife was one of only 100 produced as this was the first time Case had used the Wharncliff blade in many years. This series was originally produced exclusively for Parkers Knife Collectors Service as we had only 100 produced of this knife. This Greenbone Wharncliff Dogleg Trapper is pattern stamped on the front tang of the rear Wharncliff blade with 240WHSS 1st ISSUE, denoting the special issue of this model. The "WH" denotes the Wharncliff rear blade. This knife currently books for $150.00 and is mint in the original issue box; (the Case item number is #01065). This 1990 1 of 100 1st Issue 240WH SS Dogleg Trapper is mint in the original issue red and silver Case factory box and being offered at No Reserve. Thanks for your bids, we appreciate it.
