Production Year: 2000 Pattern #: 61749 Handle: Antique Bone with Peachseed Jigging Blade: Tru-Sharp Stainless Steel Description: This auction is for a rare Case Associates Edition knife. Case issued this set of 45 knives as a tribute to the Case employees in 2000. Fifteen patterns were produced with one of each knife pattern produced in Genuine Stag, Antique Bone and Pocket Worn Pitch Black. Each one of the Case Associates knives features Genuine Nickel Silver Liners and Pins. These are the same components Case uses to manufacture the Genuine Mother of Pearl and Select line of knives. The standard production Case knife feature Brass Liners and Pins. Next, each of these knives features the debut shield for the year 2000, the Case XX Long-Tailed "C" script style and finally, each of these Associates knives is also stamped with the debut tang stamping for the new millennium. There were only 350 sets produced in total. Most of these sets have probably been kept intact, making any one knife from the Case Associates Set a scarce piece to acquire individually. Like all my knives, this one has never been carried or sharpened and comes exactly as Case sold it. This knife comes in a blue felt bag.
