Hello, This is a CASE BRADFORD PA,PATTERN NO. 6228 ,MADE PRIOR TO 1920.This knife requires a litttle explanation as to reasure a buyer its a "good knife".The master blade is stamped "CASE over BRADFORD over PA" according to GOINS' ENCYCLOPEDIA OF CUTLERY MARKS this stamp dates from 1905 to 1920.The pen blade is stamped " Case over TESTED XX" long tail "C" with no curve,this stamp according to GOINS' dates from 1914 to 1920 ,meaning these two stamps by date "work".Ill also point out that the bolsters show drawer wear and light pitting especially on the back so the likelyhood of the pins being removed and the blades being replaced is slim to none.Thats why I left the bolsters alone after I came across it,save a little cleanup.All that said,the Greenbone is marvelous,it has super sharp,crisp jigging and Great color.No cracks but does have one small " pen tip size"chip near the nail pull on the front,I got the best pic of this I could.This Greenbone will knock your socks off !! Its hard to find older knives with bone this crisp nowadays.The blades are near full,the master has little snap left,the pen blade snaps like crazy.Both blades are tight with little to no wobble and the pen has some of its original factory polish.The stamps are sharp and clear.THIS GREENBONE IS GREAT!! SUPERSIZE THE PICS!!!BUY IT NOW GETS FREE SHIPPING!!!!It kills me to see it go but Xmas is coming.Thanks,Greg & EvaI ADDED A BETTER PICTURE OF THE SHIELD SIDE OF THE KNIFE.TAKE A LOOK!P.S. ,ITS NOT UNCOMMON TO SEE MIXED TANG STAMPS ON THESE VERY OLD CASE KNIVES,ITS A SIGN OF TRANSITION IN THE CASE COMPANY HISTORY!!!Thanks again,Greg & Eva
