We just acquired a good sized group of Case Classic Prototype 091 Split Backspring Whittler patterns. These knives we will be offering were never put into standard production runs in the Case Classic Program. All have the Letter Of Authenticity and are mint in the Case Classic boxes. Be watching for more of these in the coming weeks. This is an outstanding 091 Prototype, a 1993 Case XX stamped 091 Whittler for auction. This knife is 4 1/2" closed and features the pinned on Case Oval Shield and the Genuine Polished Stag scales. This knife was produced in 1993 and is tang stamped with Case 19 XX 93 and is marked with "Genuine Polished Stag" and pattern stamped with Tested XX 73091 on the rear side of the master Spear blade. This is a desirable pattern stamping to have on this knife as it is stamped as if a celluloid handled 091, but of course it has the Genuine Polished Stag, making it an authentic Prototype build.
