This knife for auction is an exceptional piece, a 1965-1969 era Case XX USA Genuine Stag 5265 SAB Folding Hunter, 5 1/8" closed. This knife is stamped on the master Clip blade with Case XX USA and pattern stamped on the rear tang of this blade with 5265 SAB. Check out the magnificent Case Genuine Stag scales. I'd call this knife dead mint if not for the tiny spot, and I mean tiny, on the rear side of the master Clip blade as it's never been used or carried and still has good shiny nickel silver bolsters. This knife was produced in the days when Case still pinned the shields and it has the enclosed Case oval style shield. These blades of course are produced with the old Case carbon "blue steel".
