You are now bidding on a Case XX 62048 Slimline Trapper pocket knife. The tang is stamped "Case SS USA" The SS are lightling bolt S's and have 4 dots on each side for a total of 8 dots. The reverse tang is stamped "62048 SSP". The blade is etched "Tested XX Razor Edge". This is a 1982 made Case & Son's knife.The Case XX 62048 Slimline Trapper is some times called a Farmers Knife or a Bare Head Pocket Knife because only one end of the handle is capped with nickel silver bolsters. It is a 4 1/8" closed, slip joint pocket knife with brown, jigged Delrin handles. The scales are tighly brass pinned to brass liners. The front handle is inlaid with an oval Case shield. This one has a bit of staining on the carbon steel 3 1/8" Turkish Clip blade. It may have been sharpened but the blade is very near full. It has great snap and only a minor hint of wiggle in the joint. The Delrin handles are very attractive and have only a hair line crack at the front center pin. The nickel silver bolsters free of any cracks or chips. This knife is going to grade in Very Good condition.In many places around the world you don't really have a pocket knife unless it says Case on it.
