HI, This Auction is for the large Cheetah pattern pocket knife made by the W.R. Case & Son's Cutlery Company Bradford,PA.This knife measures 4 3/8" in the closed position and features beautiful Red Bone with the famous Case logo Nickle & Silver oval inlay Shield Shield. This Shield is pinned on and not glued on.The beautiful handles are not chipped or cracked. The knife has been used, but not abussed.T is some pocket ware, but it just adds to the rustic look. The blade has been sharpened and has some transparent pitting. It's not deep, because when I run my finger nail across it I can't feel it.The blade is still 99% full so it hasn't been sharpened much. The blade has a real nice opening and closing snap and does have a small amount of side play at the open position and it really is not much, but I will always mention any that a knife may have, because I think that it should be mentioned.I have had these knives before that has never been sharpened or used and have had this amount of side play. That's how min-able it is.The bolsters are Nickle & Silver and the pins & liners are Brass. The tang stamp is Case XX U.S.A. with sevevn dots under the USA indicating that the knife was built in 1977.The reverse is the pattern number 6111/2 L.The knife is in great shape for it's age and I think that it would clean up to near mint condition. The pictures read more
