HI, This Auction is for a nice old used two blade Slim Trapper pattern pocket knife made by the W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Company. This knife measures just shy of 4 1/8 " in the closed position and features chip & crack free beautiful genuine red bone. This knife has been used, carried and the blades re-sharpened,but the blades still remain mostly full. The bolsters are made of Nickle Silver and the pins & liners are made of brass. The blades are made of Case's special formula of Hi-Carbon Alloy cutlery Steel which is known for it's ability to take the keenest edge and hold it and it's ability to be easily re-sharpened.The secondary blade does have new knife opening and closing snap with no side play at the open position, but the master blade does have some side play at the open position. It has good opening snap, but it has no closing snap. The spring however does emerge past the frame while at the right angle and I need to add that I have olied it.The front tang stamp on the Master blade is Case XX U.S.A. with no dots under the U.S.A. indicating that this knife was made from 1965-1969 and the reverse is the pattern #62048 SP.The only flaws that I can see to mention would be some light scuff marks from just normal use and sharpening marks on the blades.Who ever sharpened it didn't know what they were doing.I don't think that it's seen a grinder read more
