You are bidding on the perfect piece to complement the numbered and scrolled Case XX Jaguar set, currently offered in separate ebay auctions--the complete set of serial # 032 is now being offered, so check out my other ebay auctions. This is the Case XX "First Model" Red Bone Jaguar produced by W.R. Case Cutlery exclusively for Shepherd Hills Cutlery. This knife should not be confused with the Case Cheetah which is built on a smaller frame than the Jaguar which is built on a 51 pattern frame. The Jaguar is much harder to find.It measures 5 ¼" closed. Marked on the blade as pattern 6151 SAB SG, it is a 3 dot Case Knife, being produced in 1997 and is etched on the blade with a Jaguar, the word "Jaguar" and the words "First Model". It is saber ground and has a swing guard. T were a very limited number of these made. This knife has never been used or carried and is being sold by the original owner, having purchased it directly from Shepherd Hills Cutlery. It is in perfect condition. The Case XX Jaguar Series from Shepherd Hills Cutlery consisted of the following handle materials released in this order: Red Bone (First Model) ...this is the test run of the Jaguar Red Bone Jaguar(regular production) Stag Jaguar Green Bone Jaguar Red Stag Jaguar Blue Bone Jaguar Midnight Stag Jaguar Pearl Jaguar As a side note, only the red bone, stag and green bone models have saber ground blades. The remaining handles in the Jaguar have straight ground blades and a different nail pull as well. With the exception of the "First Model" Jaguar, all Case Jaguars in this series were limited to 1500 pieces. Whether individually or as a set of Serial # 032 any or all of these Case knives would be a great piece of Case history to own.
