Case xx Kentucky Bicentennial Knife Special Sod Buster Jr. ® with Genuine Stag Handles This knife up for auction is a Sod Buster Jr.® with Genuine Stag Handles made to celebrate Kentucky 's Bicentennial "1796 to 1976". This knife is part of a 4 or 5 knife set Celebrating Kentucky 's Bicentennial, all of the knives are Sod Buster Jr.® Knives with each having a different handle. The handle material and color for these knives is: Genuine Stag, Bright Green painted on smooth wood, Red also painted on smooth wood, and there is one pattern with a stained and varnished plain wood. This knife was made in 1976 with Genuine Stag Handles, Case Pattern Number 5137 SS. The Knife Blade is made of Case Tru-Sharp Surgical Stainless Steel with a Glazed Finish and is 2 3/4" long. The blade is decorated with a picture of a Settler in a coonskin hat and buckskin shirt, a red bird on a branch and a Green Ribbon with a Longtail Case xx and "Kentucky 1776-1976". This knife also has Brass Pins and Liners and it is 3 1/2" long closed. This Knife was produced in 1976 and is in Excellent to Mint Condition with the blade having excellent snap and no play and the Handles are free of any chips, cracks, dents, or scratches.
