Hi I am Steve Pfeiffer, author of the book Collecting Case Knives – Identification And Price Guide , published by Krause Publications in October of 2009. I have been collecting Case pocket knives since 1973. I am offering some fine collectible Case pocket knives for sale. This auction is for a Case ROG 6207 D "MiniTrapper" pattern pocket knife with the 1 dot "lightning s" tangstamping indicating 1989 vintage. The 6207 SP Mini Trapper was introduced by Case in 1979 and has proven to be a very popular pattern with both collectors and users.This fine collectible Case Mini Trapper has brass liners, nickel silver bolsters, and blades made of 512 layer Damascus steel. The handles are of Rogers style jigged bone with nice coloring. Both blades have super snap and half stops. The traditional oval CASE shield is proudly displayed in the handle.This knife is in mint condition, never sharpened or carried. The handles have no cracks or chips. There is no box.This knife was part of a series of 24 pocket knives with Damascus blades that were introduced by Case in 1989 and were only in production for a short time. These were the first pocket knives ever made by Case with Damascus steel blades.
