his is a fabulous art deco 18ct gold faux tortoiseshell cheroot or cigarette holder in it's original velvet and satin lined leather box. It comes from Charles Packer & Co Ltd of Regent St, London. They used this name from 1917-1931 when they ceased trading, so the date of this falls somewhere in between. The yellow gold end is stamped with 'HCF Ld' and the only other visible hallmark is '18c'. The rest of the hallmarks have worn down and can no longer be read. The stem has a tortoiseshell effect, though not being an expert, I do not know what this is made of. There is a chip to the stem as pictured and this has been used so is slightly nibbled at the tip. Please look at the photos for more detail. It measures approximately 9.6cm in length sits in its original velvet and satin lined leather box, which is also in good condition, but is a little dirty inside and has a few small scrapes on the outside, but nothing drastic (see pictures) Any questions please ask.
