I'm selling my beloved Casio VZ-1 along with a few other bits and pieces (please see my other auctions for some more great vintage pieces). First things first - the keyboard sadly doesn't work any more. It did work when I first bought it over 15 years ago but it doesn't now - I've no idea why - it's certainly never been dropped or had anything spilled on it so it may be an easy fix. It does work perfectly as a sound module though - and it sounds fantastic. I'd say techy/house basses are it's real strength although some of the pads are surprisingly warm and fat for an FM/PD synth. I uploaded a sound file of me tinkering with a couple of the patches - take a listen - you may be surprised at how fat and chunky this thing sounds! (This is *completely* dry and raw straight from the VZ-1 - no effects or processing of any sort). https:///user406055849/casio-vz-1 Condition wise it's very good - no dints or major scratches. Bear in mind that it must be at least 20 years old as they stopped making them in 1991. There are two stickers at each end which I haven't tried to remove as I don't have the patience for that kind of thing! I'll be posting photos on Tuesday.
