RARE CAST BRONZE PENNY TOY ANIMAL ON WHEELS -1880. A scarce early penny toy made of cast bronze or brass with original aged patina. Of an animal holding a nut or ball. Generally good with an early soldered repair to the underside of the base (the animal had obviously become loose on the base) and its tail is missing. But a lovely early item, I've never seen this toy before in 35 years of collecting old toys, that I imagine was a pull along type little toy that would have had a piece of string attached to the front fastening eye. Made before 1880 in my opinion.
