This is a great cast iron bell. On the top, is a squirrel...his tail goes back to the wall mount piece, which is the shape of an acorn. It weighs about 1 1/2 lbs.This bell has a very strong, loud, clear tone. We know that this bell is at least 35 years old. My parents bought a cottage in 1976, and this bell was attached to a deck, overlooking a river. It's in excellent condition. A great dinner bell! It measures 7 3/4" from bottom of bell to top of wall mount piece. The bottom of the bell measures 6 1/2" across. The clanger, also made of cast iron, is 5" long.
