??Salesman Sample or Child's Toy?? The Debate Continues over These Rare Items You Meet the Reserve on this Fantastic Gem - and You can Classify it Whatever Way You Would Like!! This auction is for a "Buck's Stoves & Ranges - Bucks Junior 2" Scale - Model Cast Iron Stove. It has Nickel Plated Doors, Trim and Legs. The pictures should show most of what you need to know. Documentation on these is scarce and the "experts" opinions vary widely. One thing everyone can agree on is that they are becoming not only very rare, but that one in this condition is most definately a FIND. If you were watching the one that just sold on ebay, you know that it went for $909.00. It was this exact model but with a number of condition issues. The top shelf as well as the cast lid lifter were missing entirely. T were two of the round top pieces that were not original. The main body had quite a lot of rust, etc. This one is MUCH more complete and in MUCH better shape. This beauty is in EXCEPTIONAL CONDITION. The main body does not have any pitting or rust. It has been rubbed from time to time with stove black to protect it from rusting issues. It has been used (i.e. it has been cooked in) just as it was intended to be. These were made as exact replicas to the big boys. The racks are still in place - both in the main body and in the side chamber. The stove pipe is obviously NOT the original. I have not seen one that is. These just do not last. When it is removed, t is the number 38 on the reverse side of the ornamental plated shelf holder. The ONLY issue worth pointing out on this item that we can find is that one of the two prongs (hinges for lack of better terminology) on the lid for the water reservoir is broken. You can't see it at all when it is placed on the stove and it still lies perfectly flat and still without it. I have held the lid above the stove and tried to get it w you can see it in the last picture. Overall size is 22" tall - without the stovepipe. 14" tall to the top of the stovetop. The shelf is 12" wide and 5 1/2 " deep. The body is 14" wide. The stove weighs 30 lbs. by itself without any crating or packing material.
