You are bidding on a Cast Iron Teddy Bear bank named for President Theodore (Teddy) Roosevelt. After he saved a bear cub during a hunting expedition in Arizona , the "Teddy Bear" was born. Made by Arcade from 1905-1925. It measures 4" x 2 1/2" x 1 1/2". Arcade based in Freeport Illinois , produced banks from 1891 with their first bank being "The Bank of Columbia" through the depression until WWII. They never resumed bank manufacturing after the war.
