Catelinet Hand-crafted Catelinet HC42P B-flat Tenor Trombone –lacquer (new instrument, factory seconds) Product Description This is brand new Catelinet HC42P Bb tenor trombone (SN:601542). The HC-42P model has a large bore and a red brass bell. Catelinet HC trombones are exclusive to Rosehill Instruments. They are professional trombones for experienced players, made in a factory in China which produces similar models for players in the Beijing Symphony Orchestra and for other brand names familiar in the UK . Although new, none of the current batch of instruments has passed the Rosehill cosmetic inspection and consequently are all being offered as factory seconds at greatly reduced prices. The cosmetic issues may include dust in the lacquer, polishing marks, etc. All the instruments in the range blow extremely well and are impressively specified for the price. Equivalent branded professional models might typically sell for around £2000.00. All are supplied in fully-functioning and cosmetically perfect cases. All our instruments will be thoroughly checked by our experienced technicians before sale. We offer a 12-month mechanical warranty but only a limited cosmetic warranty. A ‘P’ suffix in the model number indicates a red brass bell; a ‘Y’ suffix indicates a yellow brass bell. Other models in the Catelinet ‘hand-crafted’ range are the HC40P, HC41Y and the HC43P/Y. The instrument comes supplied with a LMG J ZHANG GC-A mouthpiece. Accessories: slide cleaning rod (metal). We stock a large selection alternative mouthpieces as well as additional brass accessories which are available on request. Condition The instrument has been checked over by our experienced on-site brass technicians who report that it blows well, as should be expected. As described above, the instrument is being offered as a factory second, meaning it was not cosmetically perfect upon arrival from the factory. This particular model has a noticeable lacquer bleed on a stay on the slide which would have been caused by a flaw in the solder, (see photo). This flaw does not affect the blowing capabilities of the instrument and is very unlikely to deteriorate further. The case is brand new. Returns/Warranty If on initial inspection you are disappointed in any way, you may return it and receive a full refund. You are most welcome to visit and test the instrument in our playing room prior to making a commitment. We will offer the instrument with a full mechanical warranty for twelve months but only a limited cosmetic warranty. Delivery It will be well packed before shipping and sent Business Post courier (inland UK only, which excludes Scottish Highlands) for £35, and will require a signature on delivery (next day service). We will contact you first to establish what days someone will be there to sign for the parcel, and will ask for a telephone number (to assist the local driver). Collection in person is always welcome. Delivery for non-inland UK (e.g. Northern Ireland and Scottish Highlands ) is £80. This item will be sent to most European countries (door to door) on Business Post Euroroad for £60. The item is not currently available for dispatch outside Europe.
