1/50 Caterpillar D8K- this model was based on an unmarked kit sold as coming from the Arpra factory which seems to be true, I built it up with metal tracks and a few different things such as the hydraulic cylinders and the side plates that carry them along with a cab with glazing and all the levers added inside. Its resprayed in orig hiway yellow and the cab was one of a batch done by mdco a few years ago that he sold for approx $200 but its by far the best detail of any cab I have seen!In case anyone is in doubt this and the D8k I sold last week are the only two D8K models with the proper modelling of the side plates and hydraulic cylinders together with the proper head light brackets on the front, I will also have added two work lights to the rear by the time the auction finishes.
