Catholic Biblical Dictionary, Old and New Testaments, by John E. Steinmueller & Kathryn Sullivan, Introduction by Athanasius Miller, O.S.B. (Benedictine), published by Joseph F. Wagner, N.Y.C., 1955 Imprimatur. This is the 1st Edition of 1956. A large tome, 10 by 7 1/2 by 3", coarse linen weave medium grey cloth hard cover, with attractive contrasting title on the spine in gold and red, and black and gold letter reference thumb indentations on outer page edges, 679 pages, plus an interesting section on Mariology (Mary in the Bible) in the back. This is an excellent single volume compendium, the traditional Roman Catholic reference work on the Bible. Condition of the book graded Almost Fine. This was pre-owned once by a convent of Ordered nuns and their bookplate is attached inside front cover, and library card pocket on the inside back, but the interior is very fresh and clean. The cover: very good, but with a little light stubbing on the corner board tips. It weighs over 3.5 kgs (!), so a $22 Postage and Handling is figured into the unit pricing.Shipping and Handling costs are included FREE for this purchase if mailed within Canada or the USA.
