I am pleased to offer for your consideration this antique metal Theca Reliquary in minus average condition, consistent with the age and use. This Theca measure 2.6 mm. (1.1/8"). In side the Theca is a paper saying: S BENEDICTI XI P and S MARTINI P. The Theca is made of two pieces. The front part, were the relics are incased under glass is bound by red colored thread with a red wax seal in the back. The thread on top the of the Theca seems to be broken from putting back the cover on it (see the pictures), but this does not effect the security of the content. The back cover has a little pin hole in the middle from being mounted, and were the front part of the Theca could be inserted. The front and back cover of the Theca is tarnished, as can be seen on the pictures. I did not try to clean it, which could devalue the condition or damage the Theca Reliquary. This listing is posted with the understanding that the offer is only for the Theca Reliquary. The relics in side are a gift. No documentation is included, but there is no reason to doubt its true nature. All profits from offering the Theca Reliquary will be donated, for a good cause!!!
