Original and extremely rare PDF, Panamanian Defense Forces modified BDU combat uniform jacket. Obtained from a Special Forces lot from Ft Bragg in 1988 prior to the invasion. Complete with all original insignia, including rank badges to both sleeves, RP and Infantry insignia to collar, PDF shoulder sleeve insignia, Panamanian Airborne tab, Batallon (Battalion) 2000 shoulder sleeve insignia, Panamanian Airborne wings and Panamanian Jungle Warfare badge (Pana Jungla). Has been modified by tapering the torso and the addition off shoulder straps. Very typical small size as is normal for BDU's sold to Central America. Batallon (Battalion) 2000 was formed in 1984 as Noriega's personal, elite armored airborne shock troops. They were trained and advised by US Special Forces in the beginning. At it's height, it was made up of no more than 400 members. It was decimated by American air and ground assault by the 4-325th Infantry in the final objective of the invasion at Ft Cimmaron. Earlier in the battle, many of their armored vehicles were destroyed during the action at Pacora Bridge. They were generally considered to be the most formidable of the Panamanian military forces. An excessively rare uniform that is lacking from even the most advanced BDU and Central American collections. Originality is defined and warranted as follows: 'Reproduction'
