You are looking at probably the rarest modern era US Army pair of pants you could ever hope to aquire. As most militaria collectors are aware, in 2004 the U.S. Army had manufactured a limited run of DCU (desert camoflauge uniform) 3-color desert camoflauge uniforms in a new configuration which incorporated many of the features previously the domain of individually customized Special Forces uniforms such as the slant/angled velcro closure chest pockets, upper sleeve pockets and mandarin collar. This uniform is known as the Close Combat Uniform, or CCU and were produced in small numbers for issue to 'Stryker Brigade' elements of the 2nd Infantry Division and the 25th Infantry Division and used in Iraq during 2004.
