Up for auction is an extremely desirable CD 131 Brookfield, 45 Cliff St version glass insulator. Two things that make this an outstanding collection addition are its neat “orange peel” texture due most likely to the cold mold not allowing the embossing to form, and the truly superior mint condition. I cannot find a single defect on this piece. If you are very discriminating about condition, this is a piece you like to look for; it has lots of uniqueness to offer. The CD 131 is considered by the collecting community to be the very first threaded insulator model making it a desirable piece of early telegraph history. Secondly, this model was later improved and phased out of production because of its susceptibility to damage. The very sharp edge on the concave skirt always made these prone to damage. This one it totally damage free. Please see the pictures for the texture and condition of this insulator. The combination of the two makes this one very desirable. Auction starts at .01, a penny and goes to the highest bidder; no reserve! Full return privileges as always. Thanks for looking at my auction!
