A carte-de-visite very much in the style of H. Pointer's Brighton Cats, but this example with a backplate identifying the photographer as Thomas of Gloucester. The photograph shows two cats standing on their back legs with front paws touching. It is captioned Valse [Waltz] in the negative. The print has excellent tonal range, but outside the area of the oval t is a stain of some kind along its left-hand edge. In addition, t are some ghost-like captions in the lower part of the image, other than the caption that's supposed to be t The mount is in excellent condition.
