Bingle enlisted on 8/11/1862 at Wilna, NY as a Private. On 9/11/1862 he mustered into Co. B, First Battalion, Black River Artillery (later Co. D, NY 10th Heavy Artillery). He was Mustered Out on 6/23/1865 at Petersburg, VA. (More information on Bingle can be found on the Sons of Union Veterans website at /past/dietrichbingle.htm although some of the dates appear to be in error.)
CONDITION: condition is very good. Corners show a tiny bit of turning. Photo shows some sepia aging as does the mount. All in all, a decent original Civil War era identified CDV.
