This is such a fantastic piece of Stoneware made by Jack Boyko from the Cedar Swamp Stoneware Co.. Unfortunatedly I have broken the lid, but I am sure this can be replaced with another stoneware lid.. Beautifully decorated with a landscape scene of a deer and trees. It is signed on the bottom Jack Boyko. It is is excellent condition, I have actually never used it. You will see on the bottom some sort of crack which was probably done during firing....does not go through, tfore holds water just fine. It is 13" in height and about 9" across handle to handle. my guess is that it holds 1 1/2 to 2 gallons of water. I believe the Cedar swamp Stoneware Co. started in Middleboro, Ma in the early 70's and was sold to the Cape Cod Potters in the early 80's. This stoneware is now highly collectible. Totally lead free, so enjoy using.
