Cellarius Map Greece & Islands Macedonia 1790 Antique Graeciae Antiqvae et Insularum Conspectvs Detail The map is very detailed, and shows the country of Greece and its islands in the Aegean and Ionian Seas, including Crete. Town names and country borders are shown in detail throughout the map. Engraver R. W. Seale. Printing Method The map is an original, defined copper engraving with neat and decorative hand outline and body watercolouring, printed on medium thick paper. Centrefold as issued. Date Circa 1790. Size Paper size is approx. 15" x 10" with at least 1" margin on all the 4 edges. Condition The map is uniformly age toned with no holes. Very light foxing to the margins only. A 1/4" split with no loss to the bottom margin along the centrefold - not entering the image. Overall good condition. for many good value fixed price items!
