Offered for sale is a GREAT advertising celluloid piece. It is a SCORE CARD for Bridge Card Game, I believe. The front features a MONKEY and it reads ... DON'T MONKEY WITH THE SCORE . It has 3 different "wheels" to turn, which changes the features on the Monkey's face (he has 10 different eye choices and 4 different mouth choices), as well as changes the Scores on the back ( Points & Games ) . Too cute !! Advertising on back reads ... DIAMOND CRYSTAL SALT ... 99 7/10% PURE... THE WINNERS USE IT . It is maker-marked in tiny print on both front and back ... PAT. APPLIED FOR 1905 ... THE WHITEHEAD HOAG CO NEWARK, NEW JERSEY.
Item measures 3" x 2 1/4" CONDITION is Very Good to Excellent. Nice and clean with no celluloid damage, minimal light scratching around the edges from handling. This is an early 1900s unusual CELLULOID item. ( Note ... we have another Monkey Card listed, but advertising Marvel Flour, Listman Mill Co., LaCrosse, Wisconsin ... happy to combine shipping) Guaranteed old and original! Check our excellent feedback and ! We hope you will keep an eye on our up-coming auctions. Due to our personal loss of more than $10,000 retail at Artichoke Annie's Antique Mall in Columbia, MO, we moved all of our quality merchandise out of 5 showcases. We have had NO support from law enforcement, even though the thief is clearly shown on tape as being in the Mall for more than 2 hours during “open hours” & helping himself to coins in our showcase at least 12 different times !!! The situation is forcing us to sell off our inventory on Ebay at bargain prices. 2299/nnn
