This is a unique piece of stylized Italian glass possibly made by Cenedese, and compares with Barbini, Flavio Poli, Venini or Barovier for Seguso. It has the fantastic eyes typical of Cenedese and a large included bubble. The other possible attribution is Pilgram glass (Whimsy or Whimsey Fish) but this is beyond my expertise to clarify....it certain has the color, weight and quality of the Italian pieces. The first picture seems to show the eyes as different but as can be seen in the on face view they are the same. It is 7 inches long, and 5 inches high and very heavy at 4 1/4 pounds. The condition is excellent, with the usual base wear. This would make a superb addition to any Eames, Retro, Mid Century, Modern Raymor inspired decor.
